Building Safe Neighbourhoods. Todays crime not only features burglary and car crime, but new areas of concern that we all need to be aware of and hopefully be able to direct those in need to the best place for advice.
Finham Neighbourhood Watch covers the Green Lane area to the west-side of St Martins Road across to Finham itself on the East-side. Operating in individual groups of between five or six up to larger groups of thirty houses. It aims to help people protect themselves and their properties and to reduce the fear of crime by means of improved home security, greater vigilance, accurate reporting of suspicious incidents to the police and by fostering a community spirit.
Local Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators, nominated by their own group members, act as a conduit between the local policing team and our members, ensuring information is shared efficiently and people are notified of any issues promptly and to receive any feedback from residents, passing this on directly to other Coordinators and the local policing team when and wherever necessary.
