These figures show a comparison of a Crime for the last 5 calendar years - 2019 - 2023.

To enable crime in one area to be more easily compared with that of another, the figures are shown as a 'Crime Index' - representing the number of crimes per 1000 population for each given area - the largest boxes showing the percentage difference between 2022 and 2023, with an arrow below it indicating whether that figure has risen or fallen from the previous year. Then below each area are the figures for the previous five years from 2019.

The large increase for Wainbody Ward figures is due to a jump in Burglary (67%) and Shoplifting (704%) in the last 12 months.
